Independent Individuals

Lea Schalla

Lea is currently studying law at LMU Munich, focusing on International Public and European Law. Since her school days, she has been passionate about intercultural collaboration, which she deepened through exchange programs in Marseille and Shanghai. These experiences, along with her participation in projects with ELSA and the non-profit organization ForViD e.V., have further strengthened her interest in cultural and legal connections. She gained particularly valuable insights at the German-Baltic Conference in October 2024, which further fueled her enthusiasm for international cooperation.

Blerim Berisha

In 2022, Blerim joined GBYEN after serving as a keynote speaker at the German-Baltic Conference in Tallinn. At the conference, he discussed his efforts to empower young people in achieving Sustainable Development Goals and encouraging their active participation in civil society. Blerim supports youth in shaping their communities through social, political, and environmental engagement, enabling them to make a positive impact in their regions. Currently, Blerim is a lecturer at the University of Osnabrück, where he is pursuing his PhD in economic geography.

Bohdanna Dumma

Bohdanna is a founder of the peacemaking youth diplomacy in Ukraine.This vision of youth peacemaking diplomacy in Ukraine she started to develop since 2022 under the YUC Platform. From 2022-2024, she was the YUC Platform Head and now she is a mentor of this platform. In 2023, her work with peacemaking youth diplomacy was recognized as one of the "Fifth Best Cases of the Youth Diplomacy 2023" Awardin Ukraine. She was an NGPO "Women's Union of Lviv region" coordinator from 2021-2024 and member of various youth initiatives that develop leaders to protect a democraticfuture and youth involvement in decision-making.
