Konrad Adenauer Foundation Office Baltic States
With its advisory and educational measures in the Baltic countries, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation contributes to the training and further education of political functionaries and mandate holders as well as to the stabilisation of the party systems. Furthermore, even after the accession of the Baltic states to the EU and NATO, we promote the development of information on political goals and institutions within the Euro-Atlantic structures. This includes strengthening our local partners to develop their own initiatives and actively participate in the foreign and security policy dialogue in the EU and NATO to secure peace on Europe's eastern external border.
We also contribute to transferring the experience of the Baltic countries in building democratic and constitutional structures to neighbouring countries in the sense of the "democracy export". The central approach of our work lies in maintaining contacts and networking with and between politicians, decision-makers, but also policy-related advisory institutes and academic institutions. Furthermore, we are trying to foster the exchange of expertise and experience between Germany and the Baltic States.
