European Movement Lithuania

European Movement Lithuania (EML) is a non-governmental organisation founded on 24 January 2020, bringing together citizens and organisations committed to the European Union and working to:

Strengthen EU education in Lithuania,
encourage civil society to participate in the EU decision-making process,
to work effectively with Lithuanian political decision-makers to increase the inclusion of EU issues on the political agenda.
The creation of the organisation was initiated by civil society representatives and experts in the field of European education, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, the Representation of the European Commission in Lithuania and European Movement International.

As of 2022, the Europeans Movement officially became full members of the Europe Movement International.

The Europe Movement International is an umbrella organisation founded in 1947, bringing together NGOs, institutions, businesses and individuals working on EU issues. The European Movement is currently active in 39 European countries.
