TO BE PART OF THE GBYEN!

Hello there! If you are interested in discussing international youth work in Germany, the Baltic states, or beyond, you have come to the right place.

The German-Baltic Youth Exchange Network is a new platform and knowledge hub that addresses current issues and trends in international youth work.

What does that mean?

We aim to establish a central platform where diverse youth organizations can gather and engage in meaningful conversations about topics that interest them.

For instance, in 2023, the member organizations of our network collectively decided to address the issue of "sustainable communication in international youth work."

So, what?

After the members have collectively selected an overarching topic, the GBYEN arranges at least two significant events where the youth organizations can actively discuss and address the issue.

The annual network meeting

The first of these events is a network meeting held in the spring. In 2023, we organized a network meeting in Lüneburg where we discussed and prepared the topic of "sustainable communication in international youth work". Look at the results here: WRAPPING UP: THE GBYEN-MEETING IN LÜNEBURG

The annual German-Baltic Conference

The GBYEN hosts the German-Baltic Conference every year, the highlight of our events calendar. The conference allows participants to finalize their preparations that were discussed during the network meeting held earlier in the year. The conference aims to produce digital guidelines on the chosen topic, which the member organizations write. For the 2023 conference, the guidelines will focus on "sustainable communication in international youth work."

Get inspired and register for our upcoming events, including the German-Baltic Conference. Membership is optional the first time.

Why bother? - Here are seven reasons why:

  1. The GBYEN provides a platform to promote your youth organization and events.

  2. By joining, you will have numerous opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals from the Baltic states, Germany, and Ukraine.

  3. That allows you to transform and build a sustainable youth network actively.

  4. Plus, the GBYEN covers every event's participation, hotel, and meal costs and even provides 200 Euros for travel expenses.

  5. Further, GBYEN hosts their events in stunning locations such as Lüneburg, Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Tartu. Therefore, attendees benefit from productive networking opportunities and an inviting atmosphere that contributes to making the world a better place.

  6. We not only prioritize productivity but also strive for a healthy work-life balance and provide opportunities for exploring the beautiful places we invite you to. For instance, every event is accompanied by a visit to the National Museum. And if you're not familiar with Francaise, don't worry. We'll teach you about traditional Baltic dances and music during our large German-Baltic balls.

  7. We do not have a membership fee!

So, why not take advantage of this incredible opportunity?
