Blerim Berisha

In 2022, Blerim joined GBYEN after being a keynote speaker at the German-Baltic Conference in Tallinn. During the conference, he spoke about his work with young people to achieve Sustainable Development Goals and inspire them to become active members of civil society. Blerim focuses on working with youth to help them achieve regional goals and positively impact their communities. He works on multiple projects and supports diverse movements for a better future rather than specializing in one area of volunteer work.

Blerim was born in 1995 and is currently studying Geography and English for his Master's at the Georg-August-University Göttingen and Works at Engagement Global.

Bohdanna Duma

Bohdanna Duma is a founder of the peacemaking youth diplomacy in Ukraine.This vision of youth peacemaking diplomacy in Ukraine she started to develop since 2022 under the YUC Platform. From 2022-2024, she was the YUC Platform Head and now she is a mentor of this platform. In 2023, her work with peacemaking youth diplomacy was recognized as one of the "Fifth Best Cases of the Youth Diplomacy 2023" Awardin Ukraine. She was an NGPO "Women's Union of Lviv region" coordinator from 2021-2024 and member of various youth initiatives that develop leaders to protect a democraticfuture and youth involvement in decision-making.

Bohdanna’s experience in the civil society sector counts 7 years and during this time she was engaged in teamwork with over 40 projects on the topics: gender equality, peacemaking diplomacy, rehabilitation and accessibility, civil society engagement and youth policy.

 

In 2024, she was elected to the Board of EDYN Ukraine Ambassadors to proceed with this network development that unites all the most significant youth leaders in politics and civil society spheres in Ukraine. Bohdanna is pursuing a Master‘s Degree in International Policy Studies of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Bohdanna is a Future Leaders Forum Fellow 2023 as a part of The Rīga Conference 2023; Young Political Leader Fellow 2022 under the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation (LATO) and a New Security Leader as a part of the Warsaw Security Forum 2024. Her main scope of work covers youth participation in decision-making, security, and peacemaking processes with local and international impact.

 

Bohdanna’s first cooperation with GBYEN started at the annual German-Baltic Conference 2022 in Latvia as a Youth Ambassador; in 2023 she was invited to give a keynote speech in Lüneburg and joined the German-Baltic Conference in Estonia 2023, becoming a partner of GBYEN as a YUC Head.
