The Association of Germans in Tartu, Estonia, was grounded as a society for ethnic Germans in Tartu
in 1989. Nowadays we see our mission in popularisation of the German language and culture in Tartu
and Southern Estonia as well as strengthening of cultural relations between Tartu and our partner
cities in German-speaking countries and regions. We proceed to work with the German minority in
Tartu, but we welcome everybody who feels a bit of germanophile at heart!
